THE STORY BEHIND
ONE CONNECTION TO
Digital Health Services (DHS) initiatives began in the year 2010. Formally, the organization was founded in 2014. DHS supports healthcare organizations to manage healthcare effectively by integrating provider and patient data into a single platform. We enable healthcare administrators, medical groups, hospitals, pharmacies, pharmaceuticals, IPAs, ACOs, and medical devices organizations, to monitor measurements proactively to maximize healthcare effectives and outcomes.
Through a unique partnership cloud-based leading platforms to in the industry today, we were able to design a solution to connect all data sources in one place. Today, we are looking into the future by establishing a partnership with Microsoft.
Microsoft Azure is an ever-expanding set of cloud services to help your organization meet your business challenges in the healthcare industry. It’s the freedom to build, manage, and deploy applications on a massive, global network using your favorite tools and frameworks. And with Microsoft Azure, dHealth Connect is evolving to an approach to consolidate data from the provider and patient from sources such as health plan claim systems, EHRs, PBMs, laboratory information systems, among other data sources to have a complete 360 degree view of the member or patient.
With the Microsoft API for FHIR, we can easily create and deploy a Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) service for health data solutions. FHIR is a standard for health care data exchange, published by HL7®. With the new Microsoft API for FHIR, we are able to simplify data management with a single, consistent solution for protected health information (PHI). Azure API for FHIR brings together health data from disparate systems using industry standard HL7 FHIR. This robust, extensible data model standardizes semantics and data exchange so all systems using FHIR can work together.
In 2010, we worked for more than 7 years, with a medical group administrator in Puerto Rico that manages both Medicaid and Medicare medical groups. Due to the experience we had, we understood the needs of managing the risk of patients, the importance of having a 360 degree view of the patients, the critical value of improving utilization, and finding new ways to improve healthcare quality, among other opportunities to automate healthcare business processes for better efficiency.
After working with organizations such medical groups, electronic health records companies, hospitals, and health insurances, we came a simple but powerful concept...Connecting Health Care in a New Way which after a couple of weeks was transformed to One Connection to Health Care under the brand of dHealth Connect.
The idea was simple, use one platform to connect all data sources that are related to patients, providers, and patients.
